This Project is adopted By Government
of Telangana, to Supply Clean Drinking
Water of 150 litres per person in 67
urban habitations and 100 litres per
person for 2500 rural habitations.
6. SOURCE
The source of
water is Collected
from Krishna and
Godavari rivers
which flow
through
Telangana State.
7. DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The Water Collected are Transported to Filter
beds and Treatment Plants using the Pipes shown
below

14. OHBR
OHBR(Over Head Balance Reservoir):
Over head balance reservoir is
an elevated tank which is above the ground
surface. As shown in Below
15. Purpose of OHBR
There are various purposes of an OHBR
but some major purposes are;
Water can be stored for long period.
Water are supplied using Gravity Distribution
System.
Water can be stored based on the population
of the village.
Water stored are used for Domestic
purposes and in Emergency cases
16. Design Details of OHBR
The type of foundation is raft foundation.
The grade of concrete mix is M25.
The mix proportion of concrete is 1:11/2:3.
The total height of tank is 12.90m, it depends on the
capacity of OHBR i.e. 40kL
The dia of main steel Bars are 10mm and distribution
steel bars are 8mm
The Steps are Pre-stressed Concrete Steps and are
arranged Spherically to Column
