MEDIA• The development of social media and different platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram and Snapchat, “there are new freedoms and responsibilities” (Lipschultz,
2018, p. 223). The internet has grown in new ways through social media that may do
harm. A lot more issues occur in mass media light regarding privacy and other legal
concerns.

• The Court established a requirement that public official plaintiffs prove that the
defendant published a defamatory statement with some level of fault.
