Two poster presentations summarized research on the DEAH-box ATPase Prp43p and its functions in splicing, ribosome biogenesis, and U3 snoRNP biogenesis. The first poster presented at an RNA Society conference in Banff, Canada involved Prp43p functioning in both splicing and ribosome biogenesis. The second poster presented in St. Louis, MO at an undergraduate research symposium discussed Prp43p's role in U3 snoRNP biogenesis.
