Aria has worked for Universalduring the furnituremarket in High Point, North Carolina for
four markets. She assisted sales reps with escorting dealers through the 115,000sq. ft.
showroom. Aria also concentrated on showing designers through our To The Trade area. She
was able to discuss construction, finishes and styleof our furnitureto designers and
decorators.
Aria was employed as an intern during the summer of 2016 working in marketing and the
showroom. Listed below were her assignments and responsibilities working in the showroom.
Showroom:
AutoCAD
1. Drawing elevations for barn door ideas
2. Adjusting showroomfloor plans to actual placement
Construction
1. Keeping area clean by vacuuming, sweeping and applying plastic to sisal flooring
2. Assisting in applying tile board to Sheetrock wall for “concrete” wall effect
3. Measuring and installing 1”x4” baseand crown trim – 2,500 linear ft.
Styling
1. Choosing accessories for new groups which included bedding (sheets, blankets,
comforters, and pillows), lamps, rugs, art, china, stemware, books, etc.
2. Moving and updating older groups with fresh accessories
3. Restyling beds to freshen groups

1. Meeting with accessory companies atthe Atlanta market
2. Learning how to place orders
3. Keeping budget restrictions in mind
Aria preformed the assignments well. She was punctual, had a good attitude, and worked well
with the other team members and me. I think she is a self-starter and highly motivated.
