Game Design – Conceptual Document
1. Main Idea of The Story
- The five animals of Happy Farm disappeared after a heavy rain night.
- The old farmer found that one of the fences was broken, and he thought the
animals might have run out from here.
- He was very worried about his animals, so he asked three little helpers to
help him find the animals.
 Three little helpers: The three players
2. Characters
Robot  Robots play a very important role in the entire game.
 He will also help and teach some farm knowledge to
children like a teacher.
 He will lead and guide children to complete tasks and
challenges in the game.
Vet  The role of the player in the game.
 The veterinarian will help the old farmer get the
animals back.
 The player learns English and problem-solving skills
through interesting games.
 Learn to cooperate and communicate with other team
members.
Tractor  The role of the player in the game.
 The tractor will help the old farmer get the animals
back.
 The player learns English and problem-solving skills
through interesting games.

Little Farmer  The role of the player in the game.
 The little farmer will help the old farmer get the
animals back.
 The player learns English and problem-solving skills

Neighbor  One of the characters in the game.
 In the process of searching for animals, he or she will
help the children.
 The players will have to describe to him or her what
the missing animal is and its characteristics.
 The neighbor will tell the child where he or she saw
the animal.
Police  One of the characters in the game.
 In the process of searching for animals, he or she will
help the children.
 The players will have to describe to him or her what
the missing animal is and its characteristics.
 The police will tell the child where he or she saw the

Kid  One of the characters in the game.

Shop Owner  He is the owner of the supermarket.
 He will ask the children what they want to buy.
 Children will buy corn with the boss and have some
conversations with him.

3. Scene Summary
Animals dormitory The old farmer went to the animal dormitory in the
morning and found that five animals were missing.
Rice field The players will follow the robot's instructions to come
to the rice field, and they will find the piglet they are
looking for is here.
Supermarket The players buy corn in Uncle Jeff's supermarket.
There will be some dialogue between them.
Stable The sheep hid in the horse's house. The players are going
to put the sheep back into barn.
Forest The players found the poor little rabbit in a cage in the
woods. Players must answer the questions given by the
robot correctly, and then they will be able to know the
password of the password lock and successfully rescue
the little rabbit. (The question will be knowledge or
common sense about rabbits.)
Pond The players know the position of the peacock through the
children. The peacock is drinking water on the pond. The
players are going to put the peacock back to its home.
Pigpen The duck came to the pig house. The duck was injured,
its wings and feet were trapped in the mud and could not
move. Players have to help it deal with the wound and
put it back to its own home.
4. Scope of Learning Content
I. Learning purpose:
- The game will focus on speaking/oral practice, so that children have
more opportunities to speak English
- Learners learn about farm knowledge, English words and basic
grammar from the game.
II. Grammar:
(Example): is/are, can/cannot, be v-ing
- This is a pig.
- The pig cannot swim.
- The pig is eating an apple.
III. Conversation:
A: What are you looking for?
B: I’m looking for my pig.
A: What does it look like?
B: It has big ears and four short legs.

V. Learning activities:
Learning activity 1 Players first listen to the story to understand what
happened in Happy Farm
Learning activity 2 Robots give players tasks and challenges
Learning activity 3 Players choose game characters
Learning activity 4 Recognize and learn the characteristics of animals
Learning activity 5 In the process of looking for an animal, players have to
describe its characteristics to passers-by and complete
other tasks or challenges.
Learning activity 6 Players need to bring the animals back to their homes.

communication between two electronic devices that are close
to each other.
Barcode Barcodes as a means of quick identification. Barcode will be
used in the process of understanding the characteristics of
animals

6. Type of Interaction
Cooperation  The three players complete tasks together and strive to
reach a goal.
 The three players can help each other and have
discussions.
Social
Exchange
 After the players find the five animals and put them back
to their homes, the old farmer will give some snacks and
candies as rewards.
Conformity  The goals of the three players are the same. That is to find
the missing animals together.
 During the game, they will face the same tasks and
challenges.
 In addition, the content of learning and the opportunity to
participate will be fair.
Robot  The interaction between the robot and the players.
 The robot guides the players in the game and teaches
them to learn English from the game.
Toys  The interaction between the toy and the players.
 Toys make the game world closer to reality and
interesting.
Tablet  The interaction between the tablet and the players.
 The pictures or videos on the tablet will help players
better understand what the robot is saying.
 The pictures or videos on the tablet are also tips for
players.
7. Game Mode
It is a non-adaptive game for three players.
