DMLT (Diploma in Medical Lab Technology) is a program that trains students in various laboratory techniques used in the field of medical laboratory technology.
2. introduction
Diploma in Medical Lab Technology is officially known as
‘’DMLT’’. Students who wants to pursue this course should
completed their 10+2 examination to enrol in this course.
Graduates have many work options in the field of Radiology,
clinical chemistry, clinical biochemistry, radiology, these are
included in medical laboratory technology course. Our Faculty
members also teach about the safety and quality control of
laboratory technologies. These vast courses have been
thoughtfully developed to give students the abilities and
information needed to succeed in the rapidly changing fields
of medical research and diagnosis. Our faculty members also
teach basic laboratory skills techniques that are required for
conducting experiments. These include operating gas burners
and glasses, as well as pouring, measuring, and filtering.
4. Students learn how to examine cells,
bacteria, and other specimens under light
and occasionally electron microscopes.
This covers slide preparation, staining
methods, and cell structure identification.
MICROSCOPY
HAEMATOLOGY
This involves the study of blood and blood-
related disorders. Students learn to perform
complete blood counts (CBC), blood grouping
and typing, erythrocyte sedimentation rate
(ESR), and coagulation tests.

5. Students are taught various techniques for analyzing
body fluids such as blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid.
This includes learning to use automated analyzers,
spectrophotometry, enzymatic assays, and other
biochemical tests to measure levels of different
substances like glucose, cholesterol, electrolytes, and
liver function tests.
CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY
This focuses on the identification and characterization
of microorganisms that cause diseases. Techniques
taught include sample collection, culturing and isolation
of microorganisms, microscopy for bacterial
identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and
serological tests for the detection of antibodies.

6. WHAT SHOULD FACULTY MEMBERS TELL TO
STUDENTS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LAB:
THE PROCEDURES AND THE PURPOSES
Although the purpose of labs is generally to support
independent student work, most students will value an
overview at the start of the session. Step-by-step
techniques, safety precautions, and appropriate
equipment and material handling are all important
aspects in clarifying the operations.
7. CONCLUSIONS
A diploma in medical lab technology will give you
the best career opportunities and students can
learn a variety skills and development through
practical lab sessions. And this course also helps to
equips candidates with expertise to contribute in
this sector.
