Exploring Your Competition
Search the Internet to find businesses that sell products or services like yours. Use the
following table to keep track of what you find.
What do your competitors’ customers think they do well? What do they think they don’t do so
well? Then explore reviews of your products or services (if your business isn’t open yet, try to
think about what will be your business’s strengths and what might be your weaknesses). Using
this table, develop a statement about what will set your business apart from your competitors.
That is your unique value proposition.
