1. Puppy Mill Surivor: Cole's Story - The Return
This is the 9th deploy of Cole's story
The Cole’s adoptive family mommy called me up on the morning in distress. Cole was still peeing in
the house and also this was causing too much anxiety in their family life. That wasn’t working out for
them together with Cole. They loved your ex , but they couldn’t get the peeing under control. No
matter what they did, he continued that. Walks before bedtime, cut water off 2 hours before and zip
would work. Cole would even now pee in the house. This was no ‘accident’ he was purposefully doing
it. Arguments were above his behavior which is harmful to anyone. A dog should not bring about so
much stress.
I told her it would be fine when she returned Cole can provide relief. I felt really damaging everyone
involved. A dog should bring happiness to a family not necessarily cause them stress. That wasn’t a
good match; that happens. I said I would like her returning him if you ask me that day, and I will call
up the Rescue and make clear the circumstance. He has to meet my new foster Ranger who was
going to be adopted away at the end of the week and he was required to meet the dog walker along
with her pets also. As well as get used to living in my house once more.
She was actually heartbroken over returning Cole to me. I could tell the girl was so upset over this
particular. She had tried super hard with Cole. Cole had learned so much any time he was with them.
They learned about garages, he did great with the stairs in their house, they taught your ex how to
catch a football ball mid air, they taught him to ‘sit’ before they put his control on. He did very well with
them; however, he by no means bonded with the dad or the son. It was too much pertaining to him to
overcome his concern with white men. He did wonderfully with their daughter along with seemed to
make a real reference to her. I was sad that it didn’t work out and that that caused the family so much
anxiety.
I called the Rescue and explained the specific situation. They agreed that it had been best for me to
have him once more since I knew him one of the most. They were sorry the situation together with
Cole and the family didn’t work out, but they understood. These folks were having a hard time
adopting out the puppy mill dogs. Would likely I be interested in adopting your ex they asked. I
thought regarding it and said no, Lucy and I liked fostering. Having 3 dogs at a time will be just too
much.
Cole, Lucy and Ranger almost all got along perfectly. Cole and Ranger have the casual personalty. I
could feed all of them with their dinner dishes close to each other, no one had a issue. I had bones,
bully bones and other treats for them almost all put out together. No one had any issue over that. No
fighting at all. Lucy would do her usual flirting then ‘stealing’ of their treat, she always wanted what
another dog had. She would come up to them and initiate to flirt and charm the dog out of the bone, if
didn’t work, then she'd go to the nagging. She wouldn’t give up either. It supplied me with a lot of
entertainment. Both Cole and Ranger learned to disregard her.
Cole satisfied Robin and her dogs. He got along with everybody and had no problems likely to her
house for the day throughout the week. I would pick them up through the night and Cole would enter

2. in the over-excitement emotion again. He'd loudly be barking along with jumping up on me. I would try
the ignore motions again. He would eventually wind down , but this would take several minutes.
Friday nighttime , for Ranger’s last supper with us, I made hamburgers on the grill for the dogs. I put
all the meal bowls down at the same time. Each of them respectively ate out of their own dish. After it
was throughout , both Cole and Ranger went to check out each others dish, just to make sure there
wasn’t a lingering little bit of food in there.
On Saturday, I took Ranger to meet up with his fresh Dog Mom. Cole any kind of Lucy both saw me
leave with Ranger. While i got home, Cole had been stressed Ranger wasn’t with me. He came down
to greet me, then it seemed he was looking for Ranger. Any time he didn’t see your ex , he ran
upstairs to be able to his safe spot inside bedroom. I followed your ex and told him Ranger went to his
new eternally home, complete with another puppy for him to be with. I attempted to talk to him and
get your ex out of the bedroom, he refused. He came down for the late afternoon river go walking with
Lucy, and stayed completely at my side, by no means leaving it, then went back upstairs when we
arrived household.
He ate the dinner that evening together with Lucy and I downstairs, so that as soon as he was done,
happened to run back upstairs. I would go back up stairs and comfort him, told him every thing would
be okay for your ex. I would bring treats and provide him some attention. They was too afraid to come
back down the stairs. I wasn’t so sure at that point what he was afraid of that could cause him to
conduct themselves like this.
That mon , I took him to the Robin’s home, they went in just fine. They displayed the same over fired
up behavior when I picked your ex up. Again, after meal with us, he ran back up the stairs.
The overnight , he refused to go into the woman's home. I tried tricking your ex into coming around
back and walking through the woman's back gate, which proved helpful. But only on that one day. He
still happened to run back upstairs to the bed room after dinner, I supplied him treats to stay down
with us, but he refused.
Then on thursday , I tried by throwing stays with him then tossing one into her backyard , he followed
it along with went into the house. This particular worked with him again first day, then he caught on to
things i was doing. Dinner had been the same, he refused to keep with us after it.
Thursday, he refused absolutely to go anywhere near the woman's home. We couldn’t really figure
out what happened or what made him afraid. It turned out his first day household alone in the house. I
was extremely concerned for him. He had never been completely alone before. Felt like i was leaving
my child at the rear of and I worried all day about him.
That nighttime , he greeted me together with kisses and a wagging tail. No over excitement this time ,
just tail wags along with kisses. I told your ex we had to go pick up the Lucy. He very gladly walked
over with me to acquire Lucy. He greeted the woman's with a kiss and a few gets. He was very happy
doing again. The Robin stated she was unable to acquire him out of the house at all. Which he stayed
up in the bed room all day long. She tried bribing him with treats, they refused. Tried just sticking to
him, he still refused.
The next day, i made the decision to take Lucy over by herself and had left your ex in the house.

3. When I returned, Cole was completely freaking out! they was in a panic and he had been running
away from me, they ran into the kitchen along with into a corner, he had been terrified of me!! we
backed up and gave your ex his space. I tossed him a few treats. They still refused to come close to
me. I went to the living room to try and coax your ex in, he ran the stairs and into the bed room for
safety. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t know what I did to loose the trust like that.
On the way to work, it dawned on me. He believed I gave Lucy way up. He saw me abandon with her
and not return with her. He is afraid I’m likely to give him away again. We called up Robin along with
explained the situation. I asked when she could bring Lucy over to the house for your ex to see that
she is still there. She did that, they seemed happy to see Lucy and gave her a couple of kisses. He
knew given that she was with the boy wonder. But he refused to select her, to leave the house.
Cole did seem tranquil staying at the house by themselves. Every once in awhile, Robin could get
your ex out of the house for a daytime bathroom walk, but she would need to bring Lucy over to
encourage him to come out. If the girl could get him out, they wouldn’t go far, and then the front of my
house. It turned out as if he needed to notice my house from wherever they was.
Lucy enjoyed going over to the Robin’s house. She loved the company along with having other dogs
there. She would mostly sleep your day away, getting up and taking part in a few times with her dogs.
Cole was always very happy to talk about and pick her way up in the evenings. He always stood a
kiss for her first thing. He'd excitedly jump around whenever we picked her up. They couldn’t wait to
see her. Ahhh, puppy love.
And they were falling in love again. They would wrestle together in the mornings. Mostly it might start
out with them grooming by themselves , then each other, then love bites, then kissing and full out
wrestling.
