Mtonnes
Smart Partner in Logistics Chains
- Providing accessible information and data to optimize cargo handling in the logistics chain.
- Aim to attract more cargo to Rotterdam by enhancing efficiency.
Accelerating Sustainability in the Port
- Driving sustainability initiatives to contribute to a 55% carbon reduction goal by 2030.
- Pursuing CO neutrality by 2050 through energy transition projects and resilient cargo flows.
Entrepreneurial and Effective Organization
- Upholding high standards for organizational effectiveness and client-centric approach.
- Emphasizing collaboration, clear responsibilities, and agility for improved operations.
- Focus on controlling operating costs, capital expenditure, and enhancing client services.
Corporate Strategy
4. Strategy for a sustainable port based on four pillars
Pillar 1
• Efficient and Infrastructure
Creating infrastructure such as pipeline and cable
Pillar 2
• A New Energy System
Industry switch to electricity and hydrogen
Pillar 3
• A New Commodity and fuel system
Replacing fossil fuels and using biomass, recycled
materials, green hydrogen
Pillar 4
• Making Logistic more sustainable
Green corridor for sustainable and efficient shipping
7. Traffic & Parking regulation strategies
Digital Parking
- Enhancing driving experience: Implementation of ground sensors in parking areas in Hamburg.
- Time-efficient driving: Sensors provide real-time information on available parking spaces.
- Comprehensive coverage: Information covers both parking garages and street parking.
- Reduced stress: Alleviating the need for drivers to search for parking spaces.
- Improved efficiency: Minimizing additional time and stress associated with parking.
Traffic Information Management System (TIMS) – DEMONSTRATOR
• Digital linking of urban operational and control centres of
different transport modes
• Common data basis and point of reference through data
synthesis and visualisation on a digital map of Hamburg featuring a
comment function
• Automated communication and information transfer
• Display of the traffic situation in real time as well as planned
events and unplanned disruptions
• Enhancing public transport through real-time information and
integration of multiple mobility stakeholders across transport
modes
• Improvement in the traffic flow, urban mobility and traffic safety
8. MOZART
• Use of quantum technology for real-time control of the traffic
light system in the port
• Digital Annealer serves as a bridge between traditional
configurations and quantum computers for greater reduction in
computing time in the case of largescale optimization tasks
• Smooth traffic flow increases transport performance and
reduces resource consumption
• Vehicle information, cameras, induction loops via 5G masts
• Port network highly suitable: a lot of heavy traffic, fewer
cyclists and pedestrians https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptS0jSx8hc0
Hyperport Cargo Solutions
• Development and marketing of a hyper port transport system for
standard ship containers to relieve the strain on the traffic infrastructure
• Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and Hyperloop Transportation
Technologies (HTT) are working together to put the concept of
transporting containers through a tube at high speed into practice.
• The technical concept for the transport capsule and the Hyper Port is
ready
• A virtual demonstrator of the Hyper Port concept will be shown at the
ITS World Congress for the first time
