The teacher shows two pictures for each of the following words.
1) Bat - Picture of a small flying animal and cricket bat
2) Cricket - Picture of the game cricket and small jumping insect
3) Trunk - Picture of trunk of tree and elephants trunk
4) Key - Picture of key of lock and computer keys

Teacher: Good, these words are called homonyms.
Homonyms are group of words, which share same spelling and pronunciation but have different meanings.
The word Homonym is delivered from two words ‘Homos’ which means same and ‘onyms’, which means
name.
