GHFP-II Fact Sheet
1. FINDYOUR PLACE IN GLOBAL HEALTH
As health challenges evolve, complex
global initiatives are created to meet
them. The Global Health Fellows Program

International Development’s (USAID’s)

identifies and supports diverse, technically
excellent professionals. GHFP-II Fellows
and Interns support the Agency’s global
health programs. To be most effective,
the Agency recognizes that training and
coaching participants is essential to
strengthening their ability to contribute to
global health priorities.

2. FELLOWSHIPS
GHFP-II Fellowships are two-year technical advising positions
in a variety of global health specialties. Fellows are hired for
posts with specific scopes of work, based on USAID’s needs.
GHFP-II Fellowships vary based on level of experience, from
recent graduates to world-renowned technical experts, and
are placed in Washington DC and across the globe. These
positions offer an invaluable opportunity for diverse, well-
qualified professionals to contribute to the cutting-edge global
health work that USAID is engaged in worldwide.
GHFP-II Internships are short term (three months
to one-year) opportunities for current students or
recent graduates. Internships are offered in a variety
of technical areas and are available throughout the
year. These compensated experiences open the door
to substantive experience with USAID’s Bureau for
Global Health, and key professional development
