Career Overview
Environmental & Sustainability Industry:
Since 2010 I have followed a path to a career in the Environmental & Sustainability
Industry. To assist this I have completed a Diploma of Conservation and Land
Management and a Diploma of Sustainability. In addition to these formal academic
qualifications I have gained experience in the form of paid employment.
Land management, quality, protection and site restoration:
Within my present employment tenure, I have undertaken Land Management roles. I
have been involved in; the restoration of bushland in council parks & reserves, the
control of noxious and environmental weeds (herbicide application), landscaping
infrastructure works, and fire management & prevention works.
Conservation and management of biodiversity:
Within previous employment, I have been responsible for the project management of
major projects including; a Native Fauna project (Strzelecki Koala monitoring project),
and a Native Flora project (Strzelecki native regeneration assessment project).
Information Technology (IT) & Manufacturing:
I have experience working in the Information Technology (IT) and Manufacturing
industries. During this period I gained transferrable skills in roles including; Help Desk
manager, Systems Administration, Analyst Programmer, Business Analyst, and Project
roles. These roles developed my personal characteristics and core strengths.

Projects, Activity & Roles
I was involved in a Strzelecki Koala monitoring project, where I supplied
feedback on the procedures and assessment requirements. I was the project
manager and conducted field surveys.
I was involved in a project to return plantation and native forest land to public
ownership. My role was to project manage and lead the onsite survey
assessments of the independent regeneration standards.
Other HVP Plantations & Latrobe City Council field experience: I was responsible
for team leadership roles in various operations, including; Planting (native
revegetation & plantation restocking), Assessments (native & plantation),
Research trials (maintenance & measurement), and Weed control operations.
Responsibilities
Project Management: project budgets, daily management, on-time delivery of
deadlines, coordination and timetabling of staff, coordination of equipment
requirements, selection of daily sites, creation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s),
accurate and timely completion of documentation.
Team leader: Field supervision of staff and other contractors, completion and
implementation of daily site specific Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s), completion of
daily job documentation.
