SPEAKING PROMPT
As a grade 6 student, your task is to
create and deliver a three- to five-
minute oral presentation that
demonstrates your understanding of
the importance of being a
peacemaker. At a school assembly,
you will persuade the student body
that each and every person has a role
and responsibility to play in being a
peacemaker within the school, and
that each person can have an impact
beyond the school walls (home,
community, world). Use your
knowledge of how being a
peacemaker can have tremendous
impact and connect it to the present
and the future.
You may use any of the following
formats: formal speech, oral report,
video with you as the “journalist”,
monologue, Reader’s theatre, Power
Point presentation, Photo Story, or
