Please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Andrea Accatino, and I am a Designer.
I have been a Graphic Designer for over two years.
During the course of studies (I graduated in Industrial Design and Graphic Design at the Politecnico di Torino in December 2015), I worked as Digital Art Director and graphic designer for Reopla LTD. In this period I was involved in the production of all the stuff that is required for communication through both print and web marketing campaigns.
Since September 2016 I work as Graphic Designer with Eurofiere LTD, a company that deals with the design and construction of exhibition stands. I have therefore been able to observe and learn all the process of design and put into print in large format graphic. In particular, I have dealt with the creation of graphics, of all control parameters for commissioning the press and I followed directly printing process printers.
Now that I have gained experience as a graphic designer, I would like to expand the skills in the activity that most interest me and pushed me to undertake this course of study.
The security of a position with a firm of your success and stability would not only be in my best practical interest, but also serve my desire to concentrate more on my first love, the actual job of industrial design.
As you can see from my portfolio, I worked on projects that required an advanced design concept of skills, industrial design and knowledge of the world of industrial production, as well as a thorough knowledge of all the software tools necessary for a fair presentation of the projects.
3. Who am I?
My name is Andrea and I am 25.
I got the degree in Industrial Design at the Polytechnic School of Torino
and I have been a graphic designer for almost a year.
The core around which guides all my thinking is the impact that my
product will have on the social, economic, and environmental
sustainability of the world. I assess challenges and obstacles of a
situation and find solutions through design.
At today, my working experience is relatively short, but I already worked
as a freelancer for a firm in Torino that offers web design and
development for the real estate companies and agents. I could also
provide several other design working references, if you think this could
be interesting to evaluate.
I have basic skills to see a given project from the first preliminary idea
through the conceptual development to design phases and final
product. I have knowledge in all design software that are normally used
for the projects’ development.

13. JOELETTE
Joelette is a wheelchair designed to
transport disabled persons on rough
terrain and mountain trails with steep
slopes. The aim of the re-design is to
have a functional and safer Joelette
unit that is easy to use and
comfortable for the passenger. I also
tryed to decrease the cost and make
the unit more compact. So I have
improved and added tools to better
maneuver the unit, I have improved
the ergonomics for the passenger and
for who will carry the whellchair. I
have also improved the construction
materials.

This card game is designed to allow the blind
children to play a game and learn basic knowledge
and skills with those who can see, bring families and
friends of different abilities closer together. I also
want to create a product made of durable materials
that feels nice to handle with design that is
attractive and timeless that can be shared and
passed on to others over time. I want to bring both
parties such as blind children and their parents,
blind friends and peers closer together by playing
the popular universal ‘Memory’ game. so I have
designed cards containing braille and images
allowing both parties to play. This board game takes
advantage of the sound produced by the Braille
when it is played by a specially designed carillion.
15. NYC
Six Hours in a Cab is a photographic project
that wants to show, with just a few clicks, the
classic views of the streets and the life of
Manhattan. All the photos are taken from the
inside of the classic yellow cabs.
16. DEGREETHESIS
In this thesis I have analyzed systematically the methods and systems used by the emergency
responders in the event of accidents from avalanches. The work carried out has the purpose of
proposing some guidelines for the development of a new system in order to optimize the relief
phases. Reported here we can see some sketches that illustrate a new type of transceiver
system (ARVA).
