3. Practical Aims(வாழ்வியல் ந ாக்கம்)
1. எண்களை பற்றிய தெளிவான கருத்துக்களை அறியச்தெய்ெல்.
To enable the students to have clear ideas about number concept.
2. வாழ்விற்க்கு நெளவயான எண்கள் மற்றும் அைளவகளின் அடிப்பளை தெயல்பாடுகளை அறியச்தெய்ெல்.
To give the individual an understanding of ideas and operations in number and quantity needed in daily
life.
3. அன்றாை வாழ்வியல் அடிக்கடி பயன்படுத்தும் நீைம்,பரப்பு ,கன அைவு,எளை, தவப்பநிளை மற்றும் நவகம்
ஆகியவற்ளறப் பற்றிய சுருக்கமாக தெளிவாக பயன்படுத்தும் முளறகளை கற்றல்.
To enable the individuals to have clear comprehension of the way the number is applied to all measures
but most particularly to those frequently used concepts such as length, volume, area, weight,
temperature, speed etc.
4. கூட்ைல், கழித்ெல்,தபருக்கல் மற்றும் வகுத்ெல் ஆகிய அடிப்பளைக் கணிெ தெயல்களில் திறன்களை
வைர்த்ெல்
To enable the individual to become proficient in the four fundamental operations of addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division.

To provide the basis of mathematical skill and processes which processes which will be needed for
vocational purpose.

To enable the student to make appropriate approximation.
7. விகிெம் அைவீடு ,வளரபைங்களை புரிந்து தகாள்ைவும்,வளரபைங்கள், பைங்கள் மற்றும்
அட்ளைவளனகளை வாசித்து புரிந்து தகாள்ை உெவுெல்.
To enable the learner to understand the concept of ratio and scale drawing, read and interpret graphs,
diagrams and tables.
8.அன்றாை வாழ்வில் ஏற்படும் பிரச்ெளனகளை தீர்க்க கணிெ த்ளெ பயன்படுத்ெ மாணவர்களுக்கு உெவுெல்
To enable the individual to apply his mathematics to a wide range of problems that occur in daily life.

5. ெமூக ந ாக்கம்(social aim)
1.ெனி மனிென் ென் ெமூக, தபாருைாெர வாழ்விளன புரிந்துதகாள்ைவும், பங்நகற்றவும், கணிெ
தெயல்பாடுகளும் நகாட்பாடுகளும் உெவுகின்றன.
To develop in the individual an awareness of the mathematical principles and operations
which will enable the individual to understand and participate in the general social and
economic life of his community.
2.கணிெம் கற்க்கும் முளறகைான அறிவியல், விதிவரும் மற்றும் விதி விைக்க முளறகள், மனிெ
உறவுகள் எங்ஙணம் உள்ைது என்பளெப் பற்றி முடிவுகள் எடுப்பதில் உறுதிளணயாக உள்ைது.
To enable the student to understand how the methods of
mathematics such as scientific, intuitive, deductive and inventive
are used to investigate, interpret and to make decision in human

To help the pupil acquire social and moral values to lead a fruitful life in the society.

7. ஒழுக்க ந ாக்கம்(Displinary Aim)
1.கற்பவருளைய மனதிறளன ஒழுங்குபடுத்துவெற்க்கு வழிவளக தெய்கிறது.
To help the learner in the intelligent use of reasoning power.
2.கற்பவருளைய அறிவாற்றளை, ஆராய்ந்ெறிய உெவுெல்.
To develop the character through systematic and orderly habits.
3.கற்பவரின், கற்பளனத் திறளனயும்,ஆய்ந்ெறிந்து திறளன வைர்த்ெல்
4. ைத்ளெயில் ஒழுக்கம் நமப்பை உெவுெல்

To enable the learner to appreciate the part played by mathematics in the culture of the past and that it continues to play in the present world.
2.கைாச்ொரத்ளெ காப்பாற்றுவதிலும், அடுத்ெ ெளைமுளறக்கு எடுத்துச் தெல்வதிலும் கணித்தின் பங்கிளன அறியதெய்ெல்.
To enable the student to appreciate the role played by mathematics in preserving and transmitting our cultural traditions.
3.ஓவியம்,வண்ணம் தீட்டுெல்,இளெ,சிற்பங்களை மற்றும் கட்டிைக்களை ஆகியவற்றின் கணிெம் பங்ளக அறிெல்.
4.அழகுணர் மற்றும் ஆய்ந்ெறி ஆற்றலில் பளைப்பாற்றளை புகுத்ெ கணிெ நகாட்பாட்டின் மூைம் வழிதெய்ெல்
To provide through mathematical ideas, aesthetic and intellectual enjoyment and satisfaction and to give an opportunity for creative expression.
5.ஓவியம் மற்றும் கட்டிைக்களையில் உள்ை நுணுக்கங்களை அறிய மாணவர்களுக்கு உெவுெல்
To enable him to appreciate various cultural arts like drawing, design making, painting, poetry, music, sculpture and architecture.
6.மாணவர்கள் ொம் பின்பற்றும் கைாச்ொரத்திலுள்ை ன்ளம தீளமகளை அறிய உெவுகிறது.
To make the learner aware of the strengths and virtues of the culture he has inherited.
7. கணித்திலுள்ை வடிவங்களை இயற்ளக வடிவங்களுைன் ஒப்பிட்டு கற்றுக்தகாள்ை உெவிகிறது.
To develop in the individual an aesthetic awareness of mathematical shapes and patterns in nature as well as the products of our civilization.
