- 2. The Latin American Meeting at GDC is a space to create alliances and strengthen the video game industry of the region. As a sign of growth of the Latin American video game industry and unity among coun- tries in the region, we are organizing again the Latin American Meeting at GDC, held annually in San Francisco. The event brings together great exponents of the continent to share, meet and forge future projects. With this annual event the aim is to connect the international video game industry with the Latin American industry. We aim to drive business generation, joint collabo- ration between studios from different countries and exchange of knowledge and talents. Thus consolidate power in the Latin American game industry. Another objective is to show Latin America as a united front and a growing industry, with the potential to generate business with global reach, and create contacts and alliances in Silicon Valley. Achievements and opportunities facing the global market, development processes and creation of partnerships, will be recurring themes during the meeting. What is Latin American Meeting at this about?

How werethe last gatherings? 35% Type of Companies involved 15% 19% 23% 8% • More than 500 participants from more than 20 countries reunite at Fiesta Latina during GDC in San Francisco. • Representatives of 80+ companies from the videogame industry from Latinamerica and the world, gather yearly to celebrate and take advantage of the boost in opportunitites the Region offers. The events were attended by publishers and investors interested in learning and growing the industry in Latin America. Attendees belonging to the core of development from the Region, were reunited for a night of relaxation and networking while at the same time, creating future opportunities. 2014/2015/2016 Since 2014, hundreds of Latinamerican attendees have enjoyed Encuentro Latino at a local bar in San Francisco, CA, which traditionally takes place the first Tuesday during the Game Developer Conference.
