Expiate: any person living in a different country from where one
is a citizen

"I'm 'originally' from Korea, but I grew up my entire life
overseas. It's a hard question to answer.”
"I grew up overseas." or "It's a long story.”
“Please stop asking that question “where are you from?” I’m
sick of hearing that question because I dread answering that
question. I’ve been all over the world and I have not lived in one
country more than a year.”
12. Home is not a place but a feeling
It's a feeling of acceptance and happiness that you can find
around the world
I’m not Asian. Not Caucasian. Not Singaporean. Not American.
Not Asian Americans. I’m not your home town hero. I’m not a
dirty foreigner. I’m not Catholic or Muslim. I’m don’t look like
you. I don’t sound like you. I don’t think like you.

To me – I have always questioned myself about what my
