Solids have a definite shape and volume, and are difficult to compress or pour. Liquids have a definite volume but take the shape of their container, and are somewhat easy to pour but difficult to compress. Gases have no definite shape or volume, and are very easy to pour and compress due to their particles being far apart with random motion.
