To developand practice:
 Vocabulary:Daysof the week
 Structure:Presentsimple,‘’liketo’’
 Integratedskills:Listening,speaking,readingandwriting.
 To use the interrogativepronoun‘what’tofindouttime.Eg: What dayis
today?
Age:Primary(7-9 yearold)
Time:30 minutes
Materials:
 Song‘’daysof the week’’,lyric,activitysheets.
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIQsyHoLudQ (songvideo).Verynice choice
of song.
 Spinner,flashcards
Introduction:Inthislesson, asa warm-up activity, we are goingto show the studentssome
flashcardswiththe daysof the weekandpicturesrelatedtothe subjectstheyhave atschool.
Then,we will asktheminwhichdaysof the weektheyhave eachsubject.
In orderto teachthe daysof the week,we will show the studentsashortvideowithasongto
catch theirattention.We will bringthemthe lyricof the songand we are goingto repeatit at least
twice.So,childrenwillbe able tosingandlearnit.
Once the childrenare familiarwithsong,we will askthemtostandup soas to follow the
characters andtry to imitate us,the teachers. Theywill use aTPR (singingquiet,singingloud,
clappingout,stampingoutand singingproud).
To continue withthe topic,we will provide them2worksheetstocomplete:apuzzle anda word
orderactivity;these will helptoreinforce the contents.Toconclude,we willuse aspinnerand
invite the students toparticipate inthe game inwhichthey will have toanswertwoquestions:
whatday is today?Andwhatdo you like todoon the day the spinnerwill give themafter
revolvingit.
