In this report, we reviewed our results with single pin fixation for the mallet fractures with solar subluxation of the distal phalanx. We also reviewed the current surgical techniques for the treatment of mallet fracture.

19. Conclusion
1. Closed reduction and IF with single K-
wire has satisfactory outcome.
2. Anatomic reduction is not necessary
for type IIb mallet fractures.
3. Joint subluxation should be addressed
when present.
