Pultrusion is a continuous process that produces composite profiles of constant cross-section made of structural fibers bonded with a polymer matrix. The process starts by passing reinforcing fibers through an impregnation bath containing resin, then guiding the impregnated fibers through dies where heat activates polymerization before exiting the die fully cured. This closed-mold process reduces emissions and ensures high strength and stiffness with minimal environmental impact. Pultrusion allows for cost-effective production of customized profiles for structural applications.

2. THE PULTRUSION
PULTRUSION is a continuous process for
producing composite constant section
profiles made with structural fibers suitably
oriented, bonded with a polymeric matrix.
By varying the fibers type or direction, or the
used matrix, noticeable variations can be
achieved in the chemical and or physical
properties of the product, so making it
suitable to the request.

3. The PULTRUSION process starts when the
reinforcing fibers pass through animpregnating
bath where they come incontact with the fluid
resin.
Following this, the impregnated fibers are
carefully guided through appropriate stations to
the die entrance, where the polymerisation
process is activated by high temperature.

4. It's important to underline that the
polymerisation process is fully completed
before the exit of the die, making the
process a 'closed-mould' process, so
reducing any volatile emission and assuring a
very elevated grade of curing. This permits
to obtain high chemical and physical
properties and a very limited ambient impact.

5. The relatively low cost of the dies (moulds )
necessary to realize a pultrused profile let to
size and realize the same profile in function of
the specific scope.
Is possible optimize the weight of the profile
and so reduce the costs, eventually
integrating more functions and let possible a
good cost/benefit ratio.
Can be pultruded also complex profile section
objects to maximize the benefits of a 'custom
tailored' project.
The profiles are done in continuous and in
every length compatible with transportation
( some profiles of small dimensions can be
rolled up).

6. PULLCOM has several lines of pultrusion and
some hundred dies.
For its lines dimensions, it can produce big
structural profiles, which drawing is in a
rectangle of about 100x30 cm.
It has several equipments for special
productions and post-production on request by
the customer
