simulation results. Needs quick access for
feedback into simulation modeling.
Result: Cost and memory capacity is key,
and the R5a instances fit perfectly as they
offer 10% lower $ / GiB of memory.
Migration to R5a was easy and there was
no noticeable impact to performance.
Customer D
Application: SAP NetWeaver
Use Case: An SAP enterprise application
server that is very CPU intensive with
large licensing costs
Result: For this workload, the customer
was interested in the new AMD instances
to save money. However, when they ran
their benchmark and determined that
they were only able to achieve ~70% of
the performance at 10% lower cost; it was
not a good fit in this case.
