1. Short Bio
Alphonso Jefferson, Jr., has served in various roles in County
government.
He has more than 31 years of experience in private and
government agencies with the responsibility in administration,
intergovernmental affairs, finance, logistics, budgeting, human
resources, strategic planning and management, performance
management and capital planning. Throughout his career,
Jefferson has served in roles with Administration, Emergency
Management, Public Works, Growth and Environment
Management, Finance, Procurement, Animal Services, Building
and Zoning, Construction, Judicial System, Public Safety (Law
Enforcement, Fire Rescue/EMS, E911), Code Enforcement,
Planning, Housing and Community Development, Economic
Development, Community Redevelopment Agencies and
Municipal Services.
Jefferson has provided leadership in large and medium sized
county government agencies with budgets ranging from $1.2
billion to $5.2 billion.
Jefferson’s professional experience includes teaching online as
a facultymember for theUniversityofPhoenix,Phoenix,Arizona
and Valencia Enterprises in Orlando, Florida. He is certified as
a Florida Redevelopment Association Redevelopment
Administrator.
Jefferson is a retired Supply/Logistic Officer-Lieutenant from the
United States Naval Reserves.
