The dhole, also known as the Asian wild dog, has a population of only around 2,000 adults remaining. Conservation efforts for the species have not been very extensive so far. While 1 in 5 people knew how to pronounce "dhole", only 1 in 10 people actually knew what a dhole was. In order to raise awareness of the dhole and help save the species, efforts should focus on educating the public, engaging people in a charming way, and introducing the dhole to new audiences rather than rebranding it. The goal of saving the dhole from extinction is worthy.
