● Built a customizable and scalable auto-pricing model that used Nokogiri to web-scrape customer usage history,
create a usage profile by account, and deliver a suite of weighted prices for different plan offerings and EBITDAs

● Led the due diligence analysis to show client’s forecasted volume justified debt service for new cranes
● Triangulated volume flows at the terminal-level through West-Coast US ports using five public data sources to
determine the competitiveness of the client’s terminal relative to others on the West Coast of North America
● Created incisive metric and data visualization and mapping sections – client noted as most valuable of the study
Major Port Terminal Investment Due Diligence, Major International Investment Fund, MOFFATT & NICHOL,
● Led the analysis for a multi-billion-dollar investment fund who were looking for new port terminal investment
● Developed and ran capacity models and historical performance reports for every major public and private port in
North America, created volume maps by port and industry, produced outlooks and research for each commodity
type, and offered insightful strategy via SWOT analysis to help the client make the best investment decision
Dry Bulk Export Terminal Feasibility Study, Large Dry Bulk Exporter and Terminal Owner, MOFFATT & NICHOL,
● Led research and analysis for a private exporter group to identify dry bulk export cargo opportunities through a
proposed California bulk export facility. Created an innovative and dynamic financial model to determine if
volumes through the terminal would generate enough revenue to justify a phased build process
At-Grade Rail Crossing Cost-Benefit Analysis, Major Gov’t Group in Southern California, MOFFATT & NICHOL,
● Led cost-benefit analysis and drove client’s success by adding opportunity cost of cargo diversion off vital rail line
● Created a dynamic model on top of GradeDec to determine if rail, truck, and passenger vehicle volumes through
the grade crossings would have high enough environmental, social, and economic costs to justify separations
DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Auto-Trash, Raspberry Pi-powered Machine Learning Trashcan, APELLAS LLC,
● Integrated a trained Tensorflow Python API Machine Learning model into a Raspberry Pi-powered trash can that
takes the decision of trash, recycling, or compost out of a user’s hands; won at 2016 TechCrunch DisruptSF
● Built a Python/Flask web-app that communicates with a Ruby on Rails API deployed on AWS that housed our
Tensorflow model - allowed for ability to store new images in the cloud to continuously re-train the model

● Led team to build a Ruby on Rails Person-to-Person and Merchant payment API that sends money by SMS
between two users using the MasterCard Send and Twilio APIs; done in 24 hours for the Money 20/20 Hackathon
