RE: Alando Powell
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Alando Powell. He is an arrrazing intern! He
was one of seventeen student interns assisting with the preparation of electronically filed
Federal and NY State income tax returns at the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide site in
Clinton County. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a national, volunteer organization
offering free income tax preparation to low and middle income taxpayers. More than
3600 personal Federal and State tax returns were prepared at this site this year. The site's
clients span a wide range of ages and income levels, so he prepared a number of retums
with varying degrees of complexity.
Alando displayed a high degree of integrity and ambition. He worked over 100 hours
during the tax season, preparing close to 100 personal Federal and State income tax
returns. He has shown tremendous growth in preparing retums of increasing complexity
with great acutracy. He need only ask once when he encounters something new to him
and I can be certain he will remember the correct resolution in the future.
Alando would be an asset to arry orgatization, and I am happy to recommend him with
