About Me
I am an interior design professional who has recently completed courses at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
Online Division. During my time as a student I gained a variety of skills and knowledge which I have used and
applied to create a variety of design projects, both large and small. My education has given me the opportunity
to space plan and design an extensive mixture of residential and commercial projects in a diversity of styles.
I have an Associate in Residential Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.
My Philosophy is interior spaces should be beautiful, functional, ergonomic, safe and comfortable
environments whether they are residential or commercial. Using sustainable practices as well as Universal
Design principles to accommodate anyone, regardless of ability, is also important. I believe designs are only
successful if they contribute to the enhancement of people's lives whether they be at home or in the work
place.
My previous experience working as an Interior Design Intern at Brooks Brothers Interiors, located at 2821
Brundage Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93304, allowed me to gain the ability to establish new and meaningful
relationships with fellow designers, clients, and product sales representatives. I also have experience in
generating CAD plans from field measurements of locations outside the classroom environment, which
assisted in the design process.

Formal and casual elements intermingle in this Tuscan style design. A warm, comfortable feeling is promoted through the use of
upholstered wooden furnishings and soothing neutral tones. Accents of aubergine, sage green, golden yellows, cerulean blues,
and red browns will create contrast with the more muted colors. Stone and wrought iron finishes will highlight the Tuscan style
décor. The living spaces will be designed with the ability to entertain guests in mind while careful consideration will be made to
create division between private areas.

The kitchen area is designed with traditional Tuscan and southwestern elements. The rustic oak dining set is counterbalanced
with the wrought iron items and fixtures. Since Patty Cage enjoys entertaining family and guests she requested an island with
additional bar seating be included along with the dining table. Tuscan hues of orange, golden yellow, and sage green create a
bright and cheerful space which is welcoming. Large wooden beams highlight the vaulted ceiling and overhead shelf.
Considerations for functionality and safety were carefully addressed.

Sophisticated geometric patterns and soft, curvilinear lines accent this upbeat, historic Art Deco home addition. Blacks, whites,
warm sandy beiges and lively jewel tones create a cheerful environment. Metallic silver accents add a touch of elegance. Careful
considerations and accommodations were made in order to create a safe, universal, and sustainable design. Jazzy music is the
highlight of this interior space and an art deco style butterfly piano is one of the main features of this interior. A spacious floor
plan allows for entertaining music and dancing.

The media room contains a custom designed bar inspired by a bar recovered from a 1920’s speak easy. The custom built media
cabinet was inspired by an Art Deco style storage cabinet found in an online antique store. The staircase which leads down into
the space was built with hand rails on each side in order to provide safety. The cheetah print flooring gives this space a playful
appearance. The bar is modeled after a salvaged bar from a 1920’s speakeasy. The entire space was designed with fun and
entertainment in mind.

the outdoor garden. An energetic chevron pattern is repeated on the walnut, herringbone parquet flooring and black and white
rug. The large, hand crafted computer desk provides ample work space. A small refreshment area was installed to accommodate
visiting clientele.

The interior of Contessa’s Galleria d’Arte boasts features reminiscent of the historic Victorian exterior façade of the building it
resides within. Traditional, Victorian elements are intermingled with those of the contemporary variety in order to give the
interior a more up-to-date appearance. Soft blue’s and greens which mimic the appearance of the sea and sky coupled with
sandy, beige hued flooring reflect the ocean views which can be seen from the gallery showroom front windows. The

Elegance and refinement are an integral part of the dining room which is designed to be reminiscent of those found on the
streets of Paris, France. Careful attention has been paid to all the features of the space including the flur de lis design carved into
the custom wood wall panels constructed of reclaimed pine. The seating is designed to be comfortable allowing guests to enjoy
their dining experience. The chandeliers, wall sconces, fabrics, finishes, and flooring all create a sense of luxury.
Accommodations for ergonomics and ADA design were implemented throughout the design.

Sophistication and an inviting atmosphere can be found in the gift shop and cocktail lounge of La Belle Aimee. A large custom
designed bar/gift transaction counter is constructed of reclaimed pine wood. The soft cream and cool green hues are continued
into this space in order to create visual harmony. A warm , soft patina on the hardwood flooring adds a light feeling to the space
and counterbalances the green on the walls. The cocktail lounge has a slightly casual feel, reminiscent of French country design.
The lounge area is intended to invoke relaxation as well as be a place for friends to gather.
