Aiden Inglis
Aiden has been a member of the Caulfield Grammar School community since 2008. In Year
12, his subjects of choice were Business Management, Economics, Euglish, Further
Mathematics, Physical Education and Yisual Communication and Design. He was awarded
an Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in Mathematics in 20Il and an Academic
Achievement Award in Chinese as a Second Language iu 2010.
As a result of his very high level of achievement academically, as well as in the creative,
leadership, sporting and service fields, Aiden was awarded a Silver Caulfield Grammar
School Certificate of Excellence.
A quietly loyal House member, Aideu enthusiastically participated in and supported a wide
range of House events over the years. In addition, his support of his peers in their leadership
roles helped them carry out their duties successfully The diversity of his contribution
towards the House over the years included Athletics, Swimming, Football, Debating, Chess
and Cross-Courtry but he will probably most remember being part of the Festival of the
Arts. Aiden was deservedly awarded Colours for his service to Holmes House.
On the sporting field Aiden excelled. He was appointed Vice Captain of the 1", XI Cricket
Team and deservedly was awarded Double Colours for Cricket. He also enjoyed playing
Soccer and Football at various times for the School.
Aiden involved himself in a range of co-curricular activities at the School. He achieved the
Bronze Award under the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme in 2011. He thoroughly enjoyed his
travels to Nanjing as part of the Year 9 Internationalism Program and to the United
Kingdom in 20Il as part of the Cricket and Tennis Tour. He was a Mentor to new students,
an organiser for UN Week aud a House Representative on the Community Service
Committee.
In addition, Aiden was an enthusiastic member of the Year I0 Presentation Ball and the
Odyssey Expedition to the Mitchell River and gave generously of his time as an Open Day
Tour Guide and to Community Service at the Salvation Army Rowville.
Aiden's quiet effective approach and persoual qualities have made a positive impression on
students and teachers alike and he leaves the school with our very best wishes for what
promises to be a bright future.
