This document summarizes a weekend getaway experience in Goa, India called "A Goa Gone By" that will take place from March 11-13, 2016. 3. THE WEEKEND begins late Friday afternoon with an
intimate sunset performance of traditional Goan-Portuguese Fado
music, presented by the eminent ‘fadista’, Sonia Shirsat.
This will be followed by a sumptuous BBQ by the sea.
4. ON SATURDAY evening
we host a discussion on the history of
spices in Goa, lead by the director of the
Museum of Goa, Subodh Kerkar,
followed by a deeply authentic Goan
thaali meal.
5. ON SUNDAY we invite you to a breakfast chat on the history and
architecture of Panjim’s historic Fontainhas district, followed by a guided walk
highlighting the many fascinating aspects of the area.
