For Area VII: Communicate and Advocate for Health and Health
Education, Myself and three other colleagues worked as a group to advocate for
reducing stress in College Freshmen. We used evidence-based studies done on
Freshmen students to advocate for our target population. Some of the ways we did this
was by using Health communication and Health Marketing skills to create different ways
the students can relieve stress or prevent stress in college. All the information and
sources we gave them was intended to improve their health and the community’s health
overall. We ended our program with the impact of our programming and also the
scientific assessment on our results after the program was implemented.
