Advancing Process Modular Solutions for High Tech Industries

Executive Summary for PPMOF programs.
(Pre-fabrication Pre-Assembly Modularization Off site Fabrication)
As high technology manufacturers increase their focus on cost, speed, and safety as key components of
capital equipment installations, few solutions have existed to address the need to reduce installation cost
without sacrificing quality, safety and serviceability.
NEHP and family CPSG companies are addressing these challenges through smarter manufacturing
solutions and modular products by elegantly and efficiently bringing process utilities to capital equipment.
NEHP and the CPSG companies are advancing these newer technology tools that drive smarter and leaner
processes in order to maximize reduction cost and customer satisfaction.
NEHP and the CPSG companies have been an industry leader for program reductions in cost, schedules,
safety, and several other critical project improvements. This is accomplished through new advanced
PPMOF programs, like NEHP’s “VMF” (Virtual Manufacturing Facilities), and “IMAF” (Integrated Modular
Assembly Facilities) Facilities. NEHP was the first company to introduce modularized enhanced process
utility solutions to the high tech and semi-conductor industries and was awarded two advanced industry
patents.
Moving into the next millennium for construction programs, customers, owners and facilities will be
highly automated using the newest cost best technologies, to drive cost lean projects. Substantial design
innovation will result in facilities and equipment that are more flexible;
Bricks and mortar replaced with modular and moveable walls, disposable and portable
equipment, “plug and play” utilities and single use equipment. Ratio of direct labor to
indirect labor changes – more skilled technicians required, less trades and construction
personnel on customer project sites. “Development to Manufacturing” processes get
fixed. Industry gets standardization in the right areas. New products are developed on
common platform ordering systems, less customizations. Use of outsourcing becomes
strategic. Large volume, low complexity products will be made in low cost, lean
innovative manufacturing facilities, however, western world will see increased
investment in VMF programs similar to our VMF / IMAF project benefits.
New product launch forecasting, along with pace of yield improvements will continue to result in capacity
planning issues to keep companies competitive moving forward.

fabrication.
