More than 1500 hours of operating an online nuclear power plant and more than 4200
hours of operating a shutdown nuclear power plant.
Lead, supervised and performed more than 900 maintenance items saving the Navy
hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of man-hours by performing the
maintenance correctly and efficiently the first time.
Developed, wrote, hung, and checked more than 1200 safety tags with no issues ensuring
the safety of personnel and equipment.
During the water shift and subsequent steam out scram of a steam plant, performed all
immediate casualty actions to place 2 reactors in a safe condition to include securing two
Coolant Turbine Generators quickly and properly.
Lead, supervised, and performed over 200 in-depth primary valve operations, to include
the researching of the valve and system, gathering all needed tools and documentation,
and taking proper radiological controls.
Corrective maintenance work center supervisor for reactor mechanical division. Saved
the Navy thousands of dollars and man-hours by identifying and repairing several
damaged components before they became inoperable.
Performed the draining and inactivation of several major components during the
inactivation and defueling of a steam plant include the pressurizer, valve operating
system, steam generators, charging system and reactor fill system.
