Concept Statement:
The vision of this concept solution is to give the traveling person the
option to be in an enticing private area to work, or a more open area
where they can be apart of the general population. This space is
designed for smooth customer flow and versatility. This design includes
both a large and wheelchair accessible conference room as well as a
smaller and more private one. There are blackout roller blinds in the
conference rooms as well as six inch thick insulated walls blocking
sound from coming in and out of the spaces. There are six workstations
with Apple and PC desktop computers and two stations that can
connect the guest's personal computer. The lounge is broken into two
areas further providing privacy to the guests that prefer a more quiet
lounge space. The café space also provides options for both the
private and social guests. The tables can be moved around and
joined to accommodate large groups, while the bar is more secluded.
The round and welcoming concierge desk is an area that will provide
customer service and an area to buy available high-end retail items
on an adjacent wall, other sale items behind the desk, and beverages
at the bar in the café space . All lighting is LED, and commercial
grade appropriate furniture is used for each space, taking into
consideration the end user’s needs. Security is a priority. There is only
one opening for entrance and exit in the whole space, as well as
each in conference room. Overall, the design provides a versatile,
secure, comfortable, and accommodating area for travelers.
