VOLUNTEERING
I do volunteer with the PRIDA / YMCA office at the former Royal Victoria Hospital, it has now
been transformed into a shelter. It is used to accommodate the new arriving Refugee Status
Claimants in Canada. I help the newly arrived people to fill up forms in order to receive welfare
assistance from the government, schedule a medical appointments for checkups, and I take those
who need it to hospitals around Montreal.
I also schedule appointments with immigration lawyers by contacting the legal aid office.
I received a signed Certificate of Recognition from PRAIDA / YMCA in December of 2019.
