I firstcame toknowAbigail asa sixteenyearoldgirl followinginheroldersister’sfootstepsasa hostess
inone of my restaurants.Rightaway,Inoticedthere wassomethingdifferentaboutherthanmostof
the younggirlswhostart workingforme.She was smart and confidentforsucha younglady,forsure,
but she alsopossessedsomethingelsethat’shardto puta fingeron.She justexudedanaurathat drew
people in,eventhe adultswhomshe wasincontactwithona dailybasisinhernew job.I foundthisa
bitremarkable forsomeone soyoungandinher firstjob.I knew she wasspecial andthatas soon as she
figuredoutthe technical aspectsof herjob,she wouldbe one of my bestemployees.Iwasnotwrong.
Abigail (Abby)hasalwaysexceededmy expectationsfora youngladyinherrole withmy company.She
isalwayssmiling,graciousandontop of everything.Icancount onher confidentlywhenIamnot there
or whenthere isno managementatthe premises.She islovedbyall herco-workers, managementand
customersalike andcarriesherself withanairthatis neveroff-puttingbutalwaysconfidentyethumble.
Whenshe toldme she mightbe interestedin pursuingacareerinbusiness,Itoldherstraightawaythat
she couldn’tbe more suitedforsucha profession.She haseveryqualityone wouldlookforwhenhiring
an applicanttobe indirectcontact withtheircustomers:bright,charming,humbleandcompetent.
It has beenapleasure workingwithAbbyforthe lastfive yearsandanevengreaterpleasure gettingto
knowher.She puts a smile onmyface everytime Isee her.I couldn’trecommendAbbywithanymore
enthusiasm,she isawonderful andcompetentindividual whowill enhance anypositionshe’splacedin.
