Course Teacher:
One of the biggest technology problem
in Bangladesh?
2
The IT or Information Technology is a relatively a new sector in
Bangladesh economy. It is an important sector in Bangladesh. No
other sector rising as much as the IT. But's the sectors rising still
now facing many problems. I still believe it is a major problem in
bangladesh. In our presentation we are discussing about the
problem and the possible solution of this problem.
Problem of IT in Bangladesh
3
Though IT the most rising sector in
Bangladesh. But it is also a major
problem in Bangladesh.
 High Price of bandwidth.
 Not growing good hardware
companies
 High price of IT product.
 Electricity problem.
 Lack of practical Knowledge about
technology.
 Crisis of Hardware to use
full bandwidth.
 Political various reason.
 Not trust in IT sector & industry.
High price of bandwidth is a common
problem of our IT sector. If we think
about the world or at least about the South
Asia, we will see that the bandwidth price is
higher than any other countries. We know
that bandwidth is like a fuel of our
technology sector.
4
High Price of Bandwidth
It is a matter of sorrow that we don't
have any good hardware companies.
Our hardware sector don't grow as
much as software part. It is a big
problem for our country specially
our IT sector.
5
Not Growing Good
Hardware Companies
Electricity problem is one of the most problem in our country . So
simply it is a problem in IT sector. For the crisis of electricity, many IT
industry can't create their product. In village the electricity problem is
more bigger than the city area. World Development Bank did a
research and said that the growth of our IT sector 6% slower because
of the crisis of electricity.
6
Electricity Problem
In the IT sector practical knowledge is must. In this sector practical
knowledge is more valuable than the theoretical knowledge. But in
Bangladesh there is a problem of practical knowledge. But in
Bangladesh there is a problem of the practical knowledge. Lack
of practical knowledge about technology trying to stop our success.
7
Lack of Practical Knowledge
about Technology
• Project Digital Bangladesh
• Learning & Earning Development Project
• Aspire to Innovate
• 12 Hi-tech Parks
• Digital Entrepreneurs & Entrepreneurship Eco-system Development project
• 14 Sheikh Kamal IT training & incubation center
• UDC(Union Digital center)
• Establishing connectivity in areas deprived of telecommunication facilities.
• Expansion of submarine cable.
• Bangabandhu Satellite.
8
Projects to tackle the IT problems
Possible Future Development
9
 Teaching IT related subject in
School, College & University.
 Inspire about freelancing.
 Improvement of cyber security
Teaching IT in School , College & university
10
 Today's technology reaches school ,
college and university. In the
syllabus technological subject read
in there seriously. So student learn
well about technology. Students
also take higher study about
technology. Students should have
access free internet for study
purpose.
Inspire in freelancing
11
 It is really good news for us that
Bangladesh is doing great in
freelancing. Bangladesh get third
place in freelancing among all the
world. Many freelancer who live in
village but they can't use fast
internet. They should be provided
with good internet access facilities.
Improvement of cyber security
12
 Survey respondents say the key
cybersecurity challenges
organizations in Bangladesh face
are ransomware, phishing, and
data breaches. People of
Bangladesh also face some spam
issue. That's why they can't trust in
IT. So that, Government should
take necessary steps to remove
these kinds of threats.
