The ICT industry in Bangladesh faces significant challenges, including a lack of skilled personnel, financial instability, insufficient hardware resources, and electricity shortages. These issues hinder the growth and sustainability of new businesses in the sector, often leading to shutdowns. Additionally, there are obstacles related to foreign exchange policies and underdeveloped technical infrastructure that impede growth and outsourcing opportunities.

4. Lack of High Skilled People

5. ICT or Technology type works are mainly a skill oriented work. If any one want to
do some work on this field they must need to know about that work and technical
knowledge. If that have some lacks that must be hamper on that business.
Example :
X company doing some graphical works. So this company need graphic designer.
X company work with 3D graphics so it needs 100 3D Graphics Designer . But it
found only 50. He found lots of designer but they not work with 3D. Here Skill is
the one on big problems in ICT Industry.

6. Financial Problem

7. Because of ICT industry is not stable in Bangladesh so Bank or other Financial
Organization not willing to give any Loan for ICT Industry. Few Years before
Financial Organization thinks only Computer Hardware is ICT . There are lots of
Categories are available but they don’t recognized other company's. So other
company can’t get any loan and without money they can’t survived.

8. Not Sufficient Hardware Company

9. In Bangladesh there is no IT Hardware company so other company which use IT
Hardware that depend on Import. So Some times when ICT Company need some
Device it not available in market. If available that price is much higher then it’s
original price.

10. Electricity Problem

11. As we know Bangladesh have electricity problems, Load shedding is one of the
big problems for our ICT Industry. In Rural area load shedding is a common
things so if is there any one want to build his business in rural area it quit difficult.
ICT all parts are running on electricity so it need continues electricity.

12. Foreign Exchange Policy

13. Bangladesh is a Small country but
have lot’s of population to
maintaining foreign exchange policy
we need to take some strong step.
That might create some barrier on
our ICT Industry too. Bangladesh is
a 2nd Top Country which is doing
outsourcing work and earn lots of
revenue. But when company owner
get paid they faces lot’s of
difficulty's to cash their revenue.

14. Lac of Technical Infrastructure

15. 1. No high speed Bandwidth Backbone.
2. No framework for ICT Industry.
3. Not Enough Research Center.
4. No Giant Company Branch to get experience.
5. Not Local Data Centers
