1. My Vision of a 21st century School

2. • The 21st century school is student centered, not teacher centered. Teachers no
longer function as lecturers but as facilitators of learning. Students learn by doing
and teachers will act as a coach, helping students to complete their projects.
• Peer learning will be given preferences, student teachers relationship will face a
dynamic change, when flipped classrooms becomes a norm rather than an
exception in schools.
• Its inspiring creativity, encouraging collaboration, expecting and rewarding critical
thinking and teachers & children will work more on effective communication.
• Focus will be more on reading literacy, information literacy, technological literacy,
skills for personal knowledge building, Oral literacy and numeracy will be preferred.

4. • Classroom that uses the latest technology from projector screens,
to audio-visual equipment, computers, notebook/laptops for each
student in the classroom, to create a technology based
educational learning environment, that encompasses all
curriculum material.
• An environment that transcends all other traditional classroom
environments.

5. • Open up to new experiences.
• Remember that we have children who learn and experience in different
ways.
• Brainstorm ideas with thee class, what possibilities there are with
technology.
• Reach out to colleagues when you want to learn something new, or even
teach something you have learned.
How can I incorporate 21st Century
Learning into my classroom?
6. We need teachers those who are updated with the latest trends in
education, that one strategy, that will be the ground breaker, the aha!
for a struggling child.
Teachers who use technology easily, and are ready to learn
something new each day.
Continuous upgradations will help the teachers to mentor children
will the latest changes.
Teaching Learning Progress through 5 E’s: Engage, explore, Explain,
Elaborate & Evaluate.
Inquiry Based Learning should be encouraged.

8. • Online journaling or written reflections- after any activity, students reflect their
experiences, what they would do differently, how they could improve.
• Vocabulary Content- online presentations, using the required vocabulary for a
lesson in Math, Reading, Science, or Social Studies.
• Historical Power Point Presentations. Research skills, writing process, editing, and
publishing.
• Publishers Material online. Using the Social Studies publishers material online,
text book, quizzes, map reading, math, science.

9. The term “21st-century skills” is generally refer to certain core
competencies such as collaboration, digital literacy, critical
thinking, and problem-solving that advocates & believe
schools need to teach to help students thrive in today's world
also we are preparing our children – “Future ready”.
