File
It is a xml file of your sitemap which is present on the webserver.
XML file is an extensible markup language that is used to encode,
store and transport document in human readable and machine
readable format.
Sitemap is a file which contains information about all the web pages, videos and files in
a website and maps the relationship between them.
The purpose of a sitemap is to show relationship between different components of a
website.
It is the blueprint of your website that helps search engine to crawl, and index all the
pages and files on your website alongwith providing them the knowledge of relation
between different pages
