Healthcare Ingenuity Partners Inc., a provider coding audit and documentation
firm, has developed groundbreaking methodology for hospital emergency
departments to capture revenues that are now left on the table while gaining
measurable adherence to billing compliance. EDopt™, patent pending,
culminates with a remarkable vision of automated provider documentation.
This program is physician developed and has been tested in rural and large
level I trauma emergency departments. The ultimate goal advances data
analytics, intelligent assumptions, content, and scope so that ER provider
documentation, now consuming 30-­‐40% of clinical time, near full EDopt™
automation consumes just 5-­‐10%. The cause and effect is an end to the time
and cost consuming current method of documentation. The US annual 150
million annual emergency department visits is a big start.
