COMPLIANCE IS MET AS PER THE EU REGULATION ANNEX II POINT 2.2

2.2. Rules concerning the collection of wild plants
‘‘The collection of wild plants and parts thereof growing naturally in natural areas, forests and
agricultural areas is considered as organic production, provided that:
(a) for a period of at least three years before the collection, those areas were not
treated with products or substances other than those authorised pursuant to Articles 9 and 24
for use in organic production;
(b) the collection does not affect the stability of the natural habitat or the maintenance of
the species in the collection area.’’
In wild collection there is constraint as the plants grow naturally and its not commercial
and there are restriction to the harvest that can be collected which is based on the balance to
the environmental ecosystem. NOW we need to know what is procedure of getting an EU
Certified WILD collection products ?

2. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GET
CERTIFIED AS PER WILD COLLECTION ?
• First Year Training of the Collectors is very important on the Respective EU Regulation on
the OCCP & OCCD. First time training duration 5 days and recurrent years 3 days.
• Every year the Forest Permission letter has to be renewed .
• Once in a year Internal audit has to take place to check the Certification system, logistics,
Storage areas for a Robust Quality system. Testing to be done randomly.

STORAGE, TRANSPORT AND
EXPORT
AFTER THE APPROVAL OF THE
PROJECT, WILL BE TRAINING OF
THE COLLECTORS BEFORE
CHECKING FOR THE NEAREST CB
ON INSPECTION.
