3. As this year draws to a close, it's time for businesses to start rolling out the
furnishings merchandise for the next year. By incorporating and following
current trends, businesses can draw in potential customers and retain existing
ones.
ReshaMandi’s in-house design team has curated the key trends that will
define the home furnishings industry in 2023. The trend forecast was
determined based on understanding the different home decor product types
and categories in the home furnishings industry.

4. Market research was conducted which included collecting information from
domestic and international blogs, magazines, brands, influences, interior
designers etc.
On the basis of the research, 3 main home furnishing themes were predicted:
Botanical Bliss, Playful Paradise and Neo Heritage. We will take you
through the key colours, details, motifs, and textures for each of these
themes which will give you an insight into the living room decor ideas that
will rule in the upcoming season.

5. BOTANICAL BLISS

6. Inspired by biophilia which means a love for nature and natural elements,
Botanical Bliss is the concept of bringing the elements of the outdoors
indoors.
Key Colours: The key colours include subtle hues of white, green, blue,
yellow, and red reflecting the colours present in nature.

7. Key Details: The key details include using digital printing methods is a
sustainable method which can be customised and the printing is easier to
execute. Other details include biophilic stripes, cut & sew detailing, clarity,
solid piping and flanges.
Key Motifs: The motifs depict biophilic motifs - florals, forests, and birds
which are inspired by nature.
Key Texture: Few textures like embroidery, pebble stitch, fabric textures, and
weaving patterns will be popular for home decor.

8. PLAYFUL PARADISE

9. The mood of this theme is a combination of cheerful and playful designs.
Quirky patterns and accents characterise Playful Paradise.
Key Colours: The key colours include bright hues of green, blue, pink, red,
and yellow reflecting the colours that exude cheerfulness.

10. Key Details: The key details include a candy stripes pattern, playful trims,
quirky buttons, and abstract patchwork.
Key Motifs: The motifs depict elements that are conversational, abstract, and
stylised in floral, geometric and line motifs.
Key Texture: Few textures like elevated embroidery, applique work, and
waffle weave running stitch are elements that will make for a colourful
living room

12. The theme, Neo Heritage blends modernity with traditional craftsmanship
from around the world.
Key Colours: The key colours include a blend of subtle and bright hues of
white, green, blue, orange, red, and yellow.
Key Details: The key details include tribal stripes, cutout patterns, running
stitch, and decorative stitch.

13. Key Motifs: The motifs depict traditional craftsmanship like Aztec, Phulkari,
and Ikat patterns keeping in mind contemporary preferences.
Key Texture: Few textures like fabric textures, dyed yarn textures, matelasse,
and fil-coupe add to the aesthetic appeal.
