2. What Is Environment?
Environment means our surroundings.
Environment includes Abiotic Factors and Biotic
Factors.
Abiotic factors include the non – living things that
are very essential to live life; example air, water,
land.
The layer of air that surrounds the earth from surface
of earth to 1600 km above the earth surface is called
atmosphere.

3. The layer of water on earth surface in form of oceans,
seas, etc is called Hydrosphere.
The layer of land on which we live is called Lithosphere.
The living creatures which are included in lithosphere,
hydrosphere and atmosphere are called Biotic factors;
example trees, human beings, dolphins, birds, etc.

5. OVER POPULATION.
As human population is increasing, area of human
residence is becoming uncomfortable. And so
human, to get more area to live, is cutting down
forest.
As human population is increasing, proportion of
carbon dioxide is also increasing in atmosphere,
resulting into global warming.

6. Pollution means the harm and disturbance
caused to various nature cycles due various
human activities.
Example:- due to plastic deposition on
land various useful microbes that do work of
decomposing are unable to do it and killed by
the chemicals released by plastics.
Pollution is mainly of 3 types:- 1. Air
Pollution, 2. Water Pollution, 3. Land
Pollution.

7. It results in acid rain, global warming and
dangerous Breathing Problems.

8. WATER POLLUTION.
It results in Digestive problems, in spread of water
– borne diseases, in unnatural death of aquatic
animals, etc

9. LAND POLLUTION.
It results in transforming of fertile land into
barren land, in destroying of various useful
microbes responsible for good crop production.

10. NATURAL DISASTERS
Natural Disasters like volcanic eruptions create large
amount of imbalance in the environment.

11. INDUSTRIAL WASTE
Industries have played great role in doing
all the 3 types of pollutions. They have
taken heavy toll from nature.

12. STEPS TO CONTROL OVER POPULATION.
Families must compulsory adopt ‘Family planning’.
Poverty must be eradicated and Education should be made
compulsory for all countrymen so that the old concept of
having more income if a family has more members; of poor
people can be eradicated.
Government of various countries must implement strict law
of not to have more than 2 child in a family ( as government
of china did ).
Secondly, government and countrymen must try to equalize
birth rate and death rate.
As population increases, proportion of carbon dioxide
increases in atmosphere so to control it trees must be
grown.
In this environment can be saved from
Over Population.

13. STEPS TO CONTROL
POLLUTION.
STEPS TO CONTROL AIR POLLUTION.
Absorber of different poisonous gases must be attached
with the chimneys of industries so that they are not
emitted in open atmosphere.
Motor of all vehicles must be serviced after 6 months
regularly.
Vulcanized rubbers and plastic should not be burned.
Invention of machine that can reduce 5% fuel
consumption should be done.
Instead of A.C’s , coolers must be used.
Trees should be grown more so different poisonous
gases present in atmosphere can be absorbed.

14. STEPS TO CONTROL WATER
POLLUTION.
Industries must purify the chemical water before emitting it
into rivers and lakes or to reuse that purified water in different
industrial works.
Ships carrying oil, petrol must be controlled safely and the
tankers of oil in it must be tightly closed.
Sewage water must be purified before emitting it into rivers
and the left particles must be used up in biogas – plant.
Villagers should not wash their animals, clothes, etc in river
water. Facilities like biogas – plant should be in villages, cities
so that they can easily dispose the kitchen waste.
To keep the water of rivers, lakes, etc clean, turtles, fishes
must be developed in them.

15. The waste plastic and vulcanized rubber should be
transformed to other forms ( like soles of footwear )
and must be reused.
The industries dump different types of chemicals in
the ground. First, they should purify them and remove
chemicals like sulphur from it.
Organic fertilizers must be used by the farmers instead
of chemical fertilizers. Organic fertilizers increases the
futility of soil.
Insecticides should be used but in very limited
quantity. And if the problem of insect can be solved by
use of some natural method then it should be adopted.

16. STEPS TO PREVENT VOLCANIC ERUPTION
(NATURAL DISASTER).
Below the earth crust magma ( molten rocks) is produced
in which various elements like sulphur are present.
Below magma hot gas are produced which tend to come
up. But due to weight of the solid earth crust they are
unable to do it.
But if the temperature increases, more gas is produced
due to which pressure increases and then the earth crust
breaks and magma comes out with force.
So trees should be grown more on earth surface so the
temperature of it remains cool and due to it the internal
temperature of earth also becomes constant.

17. Government should implement strict law that
industries should purify the gases waste, land
waste, water waste before them in the
environment.
Government should take strict actions again
the industrialist who doesn’t follow the above
mentioned law.
