2. ATHLETIC COMMUNITY CENTRES [ACC]

children, youth, and adults to help develop and improve
athletic skills and abilities.
3. OUR MISSION
Is to promote health and enhance athletic
performance through proper movement
4. WHAT WE DO
ACC partners with communities and organizations to develop
physical literacy programs for children ages 3-12 years old
and strength and conditioning programs for 13 years or older.
6. WHY WE DO IT
Because we know that being physically active later in life
depends on feeling confident in an activity setting; and that
confidence, as an adult, most often comes from having
learned fundamental movement and sport skills as a child.
8. OUR COMMITMENT
We are committed to building
athletes that are Active for Life by
using the Long Term Athlete
Development model (LTAD); a
seven-stage training, competition
and recovery pathway that guides
an individual’s experience in sport
and physical activity.

agility, balance, coordination, skating
or puck handling.

perform simple fundamental
movement skills, they will also be
unable to perform basic hockey
skills.
