2. Geography
• Natural Resources: Agriculture dominates the Cambodian economy,
contributing 34.2 percent GDP
• Labour: 83% of employed people older than 14 years in 2013
• Capital: garment industry represents the largest portion of
Cambodia's manufacturing sector.
• Entrepreneurship: World Bank Group’s annual ease of doing business
report ranks Cambodia at 131 out of 190 economies.

3. Inflation
• Inflation Rate in Cambodia averaged 5.03 percent from 1995 until
2017
• Residents are taxed on salary at rates of:
10 percent for those making between $312.50 and $2,150 per month;
15 percent for those making between $2,150 and $3,120; and
20 percent for those making $3,120 or more each month.
• Non-residents get taxed a flat 20 percent.
For income from personal services, the tax rate is 15 percent.
For other, non-salary income the tax rate is usually 20 percent, but
higher for certain things such a mineral exploitation.

4. Growth

• GDP in Cambodia averaged 4.93 USD Billion from 1960 until 2015,
reaching an all time high of 18.05 USD Billion in 2015

31, 2017, based on the latest United Nations estimates.

• 71st largest export economy in the world and the 73rd most complex
economy according to the Economic Complexity Index (ECI)
• In 2015, Cambodia exported $16.1B and imported $15.3B, resulting in
a positive trade balance of $768M.
• The top export destinations of Cambodia are the United States
($3.54B), the United Kingdom ($1.49B), Germany ($1.44B), Japan
($1.14B) and Vietnam ($994M).
• The top import origins are Thailand ($4.24B), China ($3.67B), Vietnam
($2.07B), Hong Kong ($759M) and Singapore ($727M).
