trees

Mouse Lemur

Grow up to 9-11 inches
Feast on anything they can get their little
hands on
Mouse Lemur
Behavior
They are nocturnal, to hide from predators
Store their fat in the tail
Then convert that fat to energy when food
is scarce
Because of their small size and being
nocturnal, reseachers have limited info on
this species
Predators

  Closely resemble the mongoose
Harrier Hawk
Will swoop down and steal the young off
  the mothers back
Humans
Destroying of the rain forest may cause
  extinction
The Evolution
Being on a secluded island has changed
this species alot differently from other
monkeys
Tail no longer used for hanging from tree,
  now used as balancing tool
Began to break off into smaller groups
  upon arrival of humans
Thus creating at least 99 believed
     species of Lemurs
