But when I’ve finished, if the solution is not beautiful I know it’s wrong.” Architectural patterns help you build beautiful enterprise architecture. High-level patterns such as SOA, ROA, EDA, MSA and WOA provide many best practices for enterprise architects who are looking to evolve their existing enterprise architecture or for those creating newer enterprise architecture strategies. During this session, Mifan will critically analyze the good, the bad and the ugly (if any) of the various architectural patterns. He will look at practical examples of the patterns in practice, with real life case studies of deployments that use them. He will then go on to build a solution architecture from scratch using WSO2 components with the help of patterns.

• Design Problem: Bedrooms make no sense
• Forces:
– First, the bed in a bedroom creates awkward spaces
around it: dressing, working, watching television, siYng,
are all rather foreign to the side spaces leJ over around a
bed.
– Second, the bed itself seems more comfortable in a
space that is adjusted to it.
• Solu6on:
– Don't put single beds in empty rooms called bedrooms,
but instead put individual bed alcoves off rooms with
other nonsleeping func9ons, so the bed itself becomes a
9ny private haven.
