1. David Tutera of My Fair Wedding Comes to Texas!
David Tutera is known world wide for his magical wedding’s and his event planning books.
David was recently awarded “Best Celebrity Wedding Planner” by Life & Style Magazine. He is also
the host of “My Fair Wedding” on WE TV which is becoming one of the Nation’s most popular
wedding shows on television.
“My Fair Wedding” is a show where a bride to be can’t
afford her dream wedding and David Tutera steps in and goes
above and beyond her dream wedding. David’s bride Nicki
McGuire (Martin) is about to take David on a boot scoot’n
Texas adventure. For over 20 years David has been finding the
perfect dress, shoes, cake, venue to the wedding a huge
success for the bride. But, for this Texas bride its all about the
cowboy boots!
David Tutera and Nicki may come from two different
places but their bond couldn’t be any stronger. David says, “I
guarantee you the next three weeks with Nicki, she is going to
mess around with my head, I mean the fact that she put on
fake tattoo’s to get me a little crazed was a sure sign that she is
going to play around with me just as much as I am going to
make changes for her wedding” (David Tutera “Cowgirl
Bride” Episode). Yet when the wedding came all he could
think about was, “I felt, and I don’t typically feel this way with
my brides all of them, that it was like my younger sister was
getting married. We become sort of sutto brother and sister/
best friends in just three short weeks.”(David Tutera “Cowgirl Bride” Episode).
The setting was magical, the ceremony was unique, the Bride Dazzling, in a White Lace layered
wedding gown by Brides By Demetrius and hair and makeup by Dear Clark Salon Hair Studio, as she
was ushered in by Horse Drawn Carriage by the Old Tyme Carriage Company. The wedding party was
handsomely decked out in Formal Western Attire, with the groom beautifully faded blue jeans and a
black blazer. David Tutera uniquely set the sunlit evening stage with a backdrop of ribbons and lace
swaying lightly from the tree tops and rustic wooden benches and an eclectic mix vintage chairs and
furniture were chosen for seating, with hay bales and sunflowers set out for this country themed
wedding decor.

2. The ceremony was fun and sweet, it was charming. The birds were happily singing and the light
breeze made a warm day fragrant and relaxing. After the ceremony, the couple was welcomed into a
pre-reception “cocktails under the trees” hour where they ate h'orderves of french fries with various
dipping sauces with a Texas zing, provided by MD Resort catering.
After the post ceremony congratulatory pats on the back, hugs and kisses, and after their guests
were ushered to the reception by the Brazos Carriage Company, the handsome newly-wed couple was
yee-hawed into a spectacular reception by the lingering aroma of fresh sunflowers and yellow tulips
amongst hundreds of other colorful wild flowers strewn about on tables and put about as decor by Petal
Pushers. The hay strewn wooden floors made for a more rustic country, down home, Texas feel, and the
Party Barn's massive amount of glittering lights that hung from the rafters and supports made for an
under the stars atmosphere with added lighting by A Very Special Day.
The music from the Carol Marks Music, Inc. band floated generously into the reception hall
through the Party Barn’s window like openings, as the toasts were made and the multi-tiered white and
yellow gingham wrapped wedding cake topped with sunflowers, from Crème de la Crème catering, was
cut. The tables were decked out in beautiful hand painted china and wine glasses made of golden
bubbled glass provided by Petal Pushers. The wedding reception tables were covered in amazing rustic
orange satin and white and orange gingham linens provided by Cloth Connection and had stunning
Menus placed at each setting provided by Austin Press. Then
the reception menu which was catered by MD Resort
consisted good ole southern home made Texas style BBQ
featuring a Brisket, Potato Salad, Spicy Ranch Styled Beans,
Black Bean and Corn salad, Jalapeno Corn Bread and all the
Fixing’s to go with it!
The bride and groom danced the rest of their night
away to the easy flow of rhythmic country tunes on a dance
floor set under a stage of stars, while the fire pit roared alive
and guests roasted marshmallows for smores. David Tutera
and “My Fair Wedding” made this unique wedding come
alive for the Texas Sweethearts held at MD Resort with
stunning precision and grace!
MD Resort was very impressed at how down to earth
and kind David Tutera and his whole team were. Owner of
MD Resort Donna Davis Mixon was very pleased with how
the whole event turned out, “After meeting David Tutera in
person I believe he is so great at what he does because he
truly cares. The word that comes to my mind is gracious.
David Tutera is a very gracious man who truly wants every
bride to have the wedding of their dreams.”
