How do I perform?<br />How a person performs is a given; Cannot be changed easily<br />Reader vs. listener<br />Peoples person or loner; What relationships?<br />Team member vs. Coach<br />Decision Maker vs. Advisor<br />Bottom-line: Do not Try to change; Improve at what you are good at<br />

Values<br />Not ethics; the mirror test of ethics<br />Conflicts of Personal Values vs. Corporate Values<br />Match required to produce results<br />Incremental Improvements vs. Breakthrough<br />Short Term vs. Long Term growth<br />Conflict between personal strengths and values<br />Values are Ultimate Test<br />
  5. 5. Where Do I Belong?<br />Or Where I do not belong<br />Learn to say NO<br />Life is a response to opportunities through<br />Strengths<br />Preparation<br />Knowing the method of one’s work<br />Knowing where one belogs<br />

What Should I Contribute?<br />Choice of Career – What You want to do?<br />Knowledge Workers: Transition from<br />What you are told to do<br />One should do one’s own thing<br />To: What should be my Contribution<br />Requirement of the situation<br />Contribution based on strengths, values and way of performing<br />Results that needed to be achieved to make a difference <br />Stretch not Break<br />

Responsibility for Relationships<br />Others are Individuals too – Respect them<br />“Manage” your Boss<br />Depend on others by leveraging their strengths<br />Take Responsibility for Communication to avoid personality conflicts – It’s your duty<br />Organizations are built on Trust not force<br />

Second Half of Your Life<br />Address midlife crisis – Bored at 40<br />No Learning; Need Challenge<br />A setback; Change Tracks for Success<br />Begin working on it long before you enter it<br />Develop a Second Career by<br />Join different line of Work<br />Develop a Parallel Career<br />Social Entrepreneurship<br />You are the CEO of your life<br />Life of Organizations is Short and Workers are Mobile<br />
