This series will provide hands-on
guidance and demonstrate effective
searching of government websites,
navigating registration pages, identifying
opportunities, and locating resources to
assist your business with
federal contracting.
Sites that will be previewed include, but
are not limited to: FedBiz Opps, FedBid,
GSA, DoD E-mall, Army, Navy, Air Force
and other agency-specific websites.
Each participant will have a computer for
searches and online exercises.
8/25 - Getting Started - The First Steps
This session helps businesses new to the Federal market and those thinking
of starting. Learn how to:
Determine what is required of the business to sell to the government
Navigate the websites that are required for registration
9/22 - Intro to Federal Government Contracting
This session aides businesses established one or more years and registered in
SAM on how to effectively participate in the federal government marketplace.
Attend this session and learn:
The different levels of federal purchasing
How the federal government buys products, construction
and engineering/non-personal services
How to market your business to the federal government
Certification options and contracting set asides for socio-economic
small businesses
How to identify and respond to federal opportunities
The various resources available to assist contractors

This session supports businesses completing the above sessions and registered
in SAM in obtaining a deeper level of understanding how to effectively navigate
the federal market. You will:

How to set up your own FBO account
How to conduct searches
How to identify and respond to government business opportunities!
